Arriving from their village, Shams and her husband settle into an unfinished construction site where he works to repay gambling debts — but as he is lured back into his addiction, pregnant Shams is left behind, drifting among the site’s outcasts, until the collapse around her forces an unthinkable decision about the life she carries.
