Hilal Baydarov
Biographie
*1987 Baku (Azerbaijan)
Hilal Baydarov est né en 1987 à Baku, en Azerbaïdjan. Au cours de ses années de lycée, il a remporté les championnats nationaux de mathématiques à deux reprises en 2004 et 2005. En 2011, il dirige l'équipe azérie à l'olympiade informatique en Thaïlande. Après un master en informatique, il part à Sarajevo pour étudier la réalisation cinématographique avec Bela Tarr. Son premier long métrage «Hills without names» a été présenté au Festival du film de Montréal en 2018, la même année où il a remporté le prix Docu Talent au Festival de Sarajevo pour son film «Birthday». «When the Persimmons Grew» est le troisième long métrage de Baydarov, qui sera présenté en compétition au festival Visions du réel de Nyon.
