Synopsis

Constantly fleeing from a past that haunts her and determined to rebuild a new identity, Nico, a former B‑movie actress, shows up at Sunil’s house and, after leaving her two children, Iman and Irene, with him, disappears into thin air. 

The man drowns his feelings of inadequacy in alcohol and memories, while Iman and Irene cling to the illusion that their mother will soon return to take them. Their days pass slowly, filled with explorations and challenges with the neighborhood kids, the only lively presence in a world where adults seem like ghosts clinging to the memory of a world that is about to be swept away by the relentless advance of the massive construction sites of a new city. 

Beyond the swamp that surrounds the neighborhood, unaware of the menacing shadows around her, Nico is fatally drawn to images of ​“Natalik’s Love”, the only film in which she starred, the same one Sunil can’t seem to forget.
